Celebrating 4th of JulyOn July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. While it took several more years to win the American Revolution, the 4th of July is celebrated as Independence Day.

Take a few minutes as you attend parades, watch fireworks, or enjoy tasty foods at backyard barbecues to thank our founding fathers. Because of their strength, vision and leadership, we live in a democracy that allows us to worship and live freely today.

Be safe and have a happy 4th of July!
